Fashion OOTD: A Modern Edwardian Look

Please, don't take the title of this post too seriously - I'm the first to point out historical inaccuracies, this is just a fancy I have to vaguely link all my outfits to the fashion of past eras!
This top is one of my favourite tops at the moment. I love everything about it, although I wish it had long sleeves! The lace is quite different from all the other lace items that I have (and I can tell you I have more than a few!), it's very sturdy and will last me a long time, I am sure. The collar is what sold it to me: high lace collars are one of my favourite things in the world, and this is one of the details that remind me of Edwardian/Belle Epoque fashion. And could you believe this top is from Primark? I was so surprised to see something like that in there, so I jumped on it!
The other thing of my outfit that reminds me of Edwardian fashion is my pair of boots. Most people would probably find them granny-ish, but I absolutely don't care, they are fabulous! A girl once told me in a comment that these boots reminded her of Mary Poppins, and I totally take that as a compliment. Mary Poppins's outfits is a style icon, right?! 

I styled my hair in an updo and wore pearl earrings to enhance the 1900s vibe, and on the whole I am quite satisfied with how this look turned out.

    Your top is so pretty, I wouldn't think it is from Primark. I can watch Marry Poppins without getting bored and I can see why the boots remind you of Mary Poppins :) I have a mixed style so I am not really sure if it fits to any category or time, I just wear whatever I think looks pretty :) Your outfit combination and hair are lovely, I really like it :) x
