Silky Smooth Skin with Garnier's Restoring Body Butter

by - April 02, 2017

Yes, this body butter is so good it deserves its own blog post.

I'm the type of person that simply can't shower without moisturising my body right after. Body butters and milks are a staple, and I try to look after the skin on my body as much as I do my face. Also, my skin is really dry (in the winter as much as in the summer) so keeping it hydrated every day is the best I can do for it.
My favourite type of product to use is body butters, as their texture is really rich and creamy, and they tend to sink into the skin more quickly than oils. Now, I think I've probably found THE best body butter in the world... it's a new release from Garnier, and you won't regret trying it out, trust me.

This is the Restoring Body Butter for very dry skin from the Ultimate Blends range, and it does exactly what it says on the tin. Its claim is that it "instantly restores and soothes" - and it does! It really does. (I get so excited when products actually live up to the expectations, because let's be honest here, it's not often the case.) As soon as you apply it, your skin becomes really soft. The difference is really noticeable, and this instant smoothness is something I've never had with any other moisturiser. It is also non-sticky, and it sinks into the skin almost immediately.
The scent is also lovely, it definitely has something of honey, it is sweet but still subtle, and doesn't feel chemical at all.

If you're looking for a comforting, pleasant body butter that actually gives you the hydration you need, this is exactly the body butter you should go for. I've been using it every single day for a week and my skin has never felt to soft. I'll be repurchasing it as soon as it runs out!

Is moisturising your body an important step in your routine? What is your go-to body cream or butter?

Lots of love,
Julia x

  1. I'm not one to always remember to moisturise but when I do my skin feels so amazing! I usually go for the body shop's body butters but I'm interested in trying something new like this :)

  5. I can't skip moisturising after the shower and in winter I have to moisturise daily, otherwise my skin gets too dry and flaky. I haven't used Garnier moisturiser for a long time, I like their products but I kept trying different things. Sweet and subtle scent... just how I like it :) x

    1. I understand what you mean, I tend to try out lots of different body moisturisers as well and never use the same twice. However, this one is so good I'm going to repurchase it! xx

    1. This one's thicker than a lotion so it'll keep your body moisturised for longer :D xx
