The Manicure Moment: Luxury Nude Nails

by - November 27, 2016

As much as love wearing colourful nail polishes, I always come back to nude shades. They are definitely my favourite. Nude manicures are fit for every occasion, from casual, day-to-day looks to more dressy and formal occasions. Hence why a few months ago I felt like investing in a luxury nude nail polish, because it would become a staple for me and I'd always come back to it.
After browsing through all the nude shades I could find in Sephora, I finally settled on Beige Léger by YSL. Mind you, it is not just your regular beige shade: you may not be able to tell from the photos because it is quite hard to capture, but there is a subtle but really pretty hint of pink that I had never seen in any beige nail polish before.
The application is super easy and you can go with two coats only. This is my first Yves Saint Laurent nail polish, and as you'd expect, the quality is really good. Nothing an Essie nail polish can't do of course (and I'll be 100% honest with you here), but the packaging is absolutely gorgeous and I'm planning on adding a few more to my collection in the future.

What's your favourite nude nail polish? Would you invest on high-end nail polishes?

  1. This is such a gorgeous shade, I love the mauvey hint to it! I've actually been on the lookout for a good nude polish, the two I have are old and one's a tad too beige, while the other's too pink aha. Shall have to give this one a whirl <3

  3. This shade looks so pretty and I love the cute ring! I prefer to buy drugstore polishes as I will be able to try more shades with a much more affordable price! :)

  4. I never believed in investing in high end nail polish until I was gifted my first ever Dior red. You get amazing polishes at the drugstore as well, but the packaging and the feeling are sometimes worth the extra money. Sometimes.
This is a very pretty color, perfect mannequin nails.

  9. I find that to be the case of most pricier nail polish-- there's nothing so stellar about the formula in comparison to a more reasonably priced polish like OPI or essie. But you're totally paying for the packaging and branding! ANd sometimes I'm okay with that ;) This is such a gorgeous everyday color. ANd I love the packaging!

    1. Yes, it's a 'controversial' topic somehow, do we really need to get the more expensive products when we can find similar quality in cheaper brands? But hey, sometimes we all crave a little luxury :P xx

  10. What a beautiful nude shade! I haven't invested on a nail polish before but it makes sense to invest on classic shades that will never go out of date like classic nude or a red. I don't know what's my favourite nude is but if I had this, it would definitely be this one :) x
